The Book of Changes. Zhou Dynasty divination text. 64 hexagrams of 6 lines each.
Each line is yin (broken) or yang (solid). Each hexagram has meaning, judgment, image.
Changing lines (old yin, old yang) create a second, transformed hexagram.
This digital implementation: 8-bit aesthetic. No translation, only essence.
The oracle speaks in the space between. 間. The pause. The interval.
間 (ma): interval, space between, pause, gap.
In Japanese aesthetics: the meaningful space between things.
In music: the rest between notes. In conversation: the pause between words.
In divination: the space between question and answer, cast and interpretation.
